The number in each cell represents the number of poeple who prefer different types of restaurants. The restaurant in the row represents the first preference and the restaurant in the column represents the second preference Ex. Row 1, column 1 = 760 means that there are 760 people whose first and only preference is Dominoz. Row 1, column 2 = 525 means there are 525 poeple whose first preference is Dominoz and the second preference is Pizzahut.

1. B) We need to find out the number of people whose 1st preference is either Goli or McD and whose 2nd preference is either KFC or Box8.
This means we need to count all those people whose 1st preference is Goli and 2nd preference is either KFC/Box8 or all those whose 1stpreference is McD and 2nd preference is KFC/Box8.

Total number of people satisfying this criteria is 238
Total number of people whose 1st and only preference is Dominoz = 760
Therefore Required% = 238/760 * 100 = 31.3 ≈ 31%
2. B) The fastest way to solve it, is to count all the number along the diagonal as given below in the table

No. of people who only prefer Dominoz (C) = 760
Amount collected from A = 2504 × 10 = 25040
Amount collected From B = 1646 × 8 = 13168
Amount collected from C = 760 × 5 = 3800
Total amount collected = 25040 + 13168 + 3800 = 42008
