1. E) Total candidates passed in West region in 2012 = 780
Total candidates passed in East region in 2015 = 500
Required %= (780 – 500)/500 × 100 = 280/5 = 56%
2. B) The total number of selected students in South region
= 75 + 72 + 104 + 112 + 60 + 75 = 498
Average = 498/6 = 83
The total number of selected students in North region
= 95 + 84 + 77 + 78 + 64 + 58 = 456
Average = 456/6 = 76
Difference = 83 – 76 = 7
3. A) Total number of students selected in East region
= 80 + 60 + 66 + 55+ 52 + 60 = 373
Total number of students selected in West region
= 80 + 120 + 72 + 96 + 64 + 68 = 500
Required% = 373/500 × 100 =74.6% = 75%
4. C) Percentage of candidates passed in West region
= 780/5600 × 100 = 13.92%
