**1. C)**12 month’s salary = Rs.90 + Turban

Therefore 9 month’s salary = (Rs.90 + turban) * 9/12 = Rs.90 * ¾ + ¾ turban

= 135/2 + ¾ turban

Therefore Rs.135/2 + ¾

=> ¼ Turban = Rs.5/2 => Turban = 5/2 * 4 = Rs.10

**2. D)**Let the original fraction be x/y.

Then, ATQ, (x – 4)/(y + 1) = 1/6 => 6x – 24 = y + 1 => 6x – y = 25 ……

Again, (x + 2)/(y + 1) = 1/3 => 3x + 6 = y + 1 => 3x – y = –5 ……
(ii)

Subtract eq (ii) from eq (i) we get,

3x = 30 => x = 10 then y = 35

LCM of 10 and 35 = 70
