1. B) Let Kapil’s expenditure in 2003 and 2005 = Rs.x
Profit percent in 2003 = 24%
Using above formula: P% = P/E * 100
24 = P(2003)/x * 100 => P(2003) = 24x/100
Now Income = E + P = x + 24x/100 = 124x/100 = I(2003)
Similarly I(2005) = 116x/100
Now,
I(2003)/I(2005) = 124/116 = 31/29 = 31 : 29
2. E) In year 2007:
Profit percent of Kapil = 21%
Using above formula: P% = P/E * 100
=> 21 = P(K)/250000 * 100 => P(K) = 21 * 2500 = 52500
Similarly, Profit of Manoj P(M) = 42500 and Profit of Shirish P(S) = 35000
Therefore Total Profit = P(K) + P(M) + P(S) = 52500 + 42500 + 35000 = 130000
