A) 60.5
B) 63.5
C) 62
D) 64
E) 21.13
Solutions:
1. A) Average sales of Nokia = (60.5 + 150 + 180 + 198 + 210)/5 = 159.7
Therefore average sales of HTC and Vivo in the year 2013 – 14 = [(28 + 12) of 198/30]/2 = [40 x 198/30]/2 = 66 x 4/2 = Rs.132 crore
Therefore difference = 159.7 – 132 = Rs.27.7 crore
2. C) Sales of Nokia in 2014 – 15 is Rs.198 crore
Therefore required difference = 198/30 x (12 – 8) = Rs.26.4 crore
3. D) Requied percentage more = (210 – 60.5)/60.5 x 100 = 149.5/60.5 x 100 = 247.10 ≈ 247%
4. B) Market share of Nokia in 2013 – 14 is 30%. This will be so in 2014 – 15 also,
Now 30% = Rs.198 crore
=> 100% = 198/30 x 100 = Rs.660 crore
Therefore market sales of Oppo in the year 2014 – 15 = (660 x 22)/100 = Rs.145.2 crore.
5. B) Market share of Vivo in the year 2014 – 15 = (28 x 130)/100 = 36.4%
Therefore sale of Vivoin the year 2014 – 15 = (728 x 36.4)/100 = Rs.264.992 crore
(6 – 10):
Number of candidates with experience in Rural Areas:
In Public Sector Banks only = 450
In Private Sector Banks only = 15000 x 2/100 = 300
Number of candidates with experience in urban areas:
In Public Sector Banks only = 15000 x 25/ 100 = 3750
In Private Sector Banks = 15000 x 12/100 = 1800
Candidates working in Public Sector Banks in both rural and urban areas = 3600
Candidates worked in:
Both Public and Private Banks in Urban areas = 15000 x 15/100 = 2250
Public and Private Banks in Rural areas = 600
Candidates without experience = 15000 -12750 = 2250
6. B) Required number of candidates = 450 + 300 + 3600 + 600 = 4950
7. D) Total candidates have prior experience of working in Public Sector Banks (urban and rural areas together)
= 450+3750+3600+600+2250= 10650
8. B) No. of candidates working in public sector banking in rural areas only = 450
No. of candidates working in private sector banking in rural areas only = 300
Hence ratio = 450 : 300 = 3 : 2
9. C) Total number of candidates who have worked in Private Sector Banks in urban areas = 1800+2250 = 4050
10. E) Hence % of the non-experience candidates w.r.to the candidates who have worked in Public Sector Banks in both urban and rural areas together = (2250 x 100)/10650 = 21.13%
