China is the world's second largest economy by nominal GDP and the world's largest economy by purchasing power parity according to the IMF, although China's National Bureau of Statistics rejects this claim. Until 2015 China was the world's fastest- growing major economy, with growth rates averaging 10% over 30 years. Due to historical and political facts of China's developing economy, China's public sector accounts for a bigger share of the national economy than the burgeoning private sector. China is a global hub for manufacturing, and is the largest manufacturing economy in the world as well as the largest exporter of goods in the world. China is also the world's fastest growing consumer market and second largest importer of goods in the world. China is a net importer of services products. On a per capita income basis, China ranked 72nd by nominal GDP and 84th by GDP (PPP) in 2015, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The provinces in the coastal regions of China tend to be more industrialized, while regions in the hinterland are less developed. As China's economic importance has grown, so has attention to the structure and health of the economy. The internationalization of the Chinese economy continues to affect the standardized economic forecast officially launched in China by the Purchasing Managers Index in 2005.At the start of the 2010s, China became the sole Asian nation to have a GDP (PPP) above the $10-trillion mark (along with the United States and the European Union) As China's economy grows, so does China's Renminbi, which undergoes the process needed for its internationalization. China initiated the founding of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in 2015. The rate of economic growth of the Chinese economy has started slowing with fears of an impending hard landing of the economy. China's short-term economic outlook will be "tougher than expected" and trade friction was inevitable with the U.S., Alibaba executive chairman JackMa said as China was reported to be lowering its growth target for this year. "In the coming three to five years… the economic situation will be even more arduous than everyone had expected," said the e-commerce billionaire on Wednesday at an annual meeting of the General Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs, a private business association that he chairs. On Thursday, Reuters cited policy sources as saying China would lower its 2017 economic growth target to about 6.5 percent from last year's 6.5- 7 percent, reinforcing a policy shift from supporting growth towards reforms to contain debt and housing risks. China's economy grew by about 6.7 percent last year, the slowest in 26 years but within Beijing's target range. At the meeting, Ma said it was "only natural" that China's rapid growth over the past three decades could not continue, and that the focus should be shifted to the quality of growth, such as upgrading its manufacturing industry. Ma also shared his outlook on China-U.S. relations, as well as his impression of U.S. President Donald Trump, whom he met at Trump Tower in New York. Despite an "overall optimistic" outlook on trade between the world's two largest economies, Ma said conflicts "will definitely be there". "If [the conflicts] were not dealt with properly, they might lead to a relatively big trade war, which is not a good thing for China, the U.S. or the world economy," he said. Ma said Trump should not be underestimated. "It is only that his speaking style and the way he does things are different from what we're used to expecting from politicians. He saw the many problems existing now in the U.S. and he hopes to solve them in a different way. "He is a businessman, a man of action and result-oriented," Ma said, adding that he believed the new U.S. president was "a very smart person".

Answers:
1. E) The passage is starting on the note of the economic potency of China and eventually tells about its growth and then the threats posed to it in the near future. The only option in line with this is 5. The other options are either not a part or is a small idea. Thus option 5 is the correct answer.
2. D) Option 1 is incorrect with respect to the passage. So is option 2 as the passage says that China is the largest exporter of goods in the world. One of the largest suggests that some the other countries are also largest exporters. The passage is nowhere talking about option 3. The word omnipotent in this context sounds erroneous hence option 4 is ruled out. The only option in line with the context is 4. Clearly, if China is a global hub for manufacturing, the largest manufacturing economy in the world as well as the largest exporter of goods in the world, it can be said to be one of the most powerful economy in the world market. Thus option 4 is the correct answer.
3. C) It can be well inferred on reading the paragraph that Alibaba chairman Ma is hinting in advance on the trade related problems that might happen between the two powerful countries. The only option in line with this context is 3. The other options are irrelevant. Thus option 3 is the correct answer.
4. D) It is clearly given in the passage that “On a per capita income basis, China ranked 72nd by nominal GDP and 84th by GDP (PPP) in 2015”. Thus option 4 is the correct answer.
5. A) It is clearly given in the passage that “At the start of the 2010s, China became the sole Asian nation to have a GDP (PPP) above the $10-trillion mark (along with the United States and the European Union)” Thus option 1 is the correct answer.
6. D) It is clearly given in the passage, “In the coming three to five years … the economic situation will be even more arduous than everyone had expected"said the e-commerce billionaire on Wednesday at an annual meeting of the General Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs, a private business association that he chairs”. Thus option 4 is the correct answer.
7. D) The passage is talking about Ma’s view point on future relations of china and USA especially after new president elect Donald Trump taking over. All option except option 4 are either a personal opinion or a small idea. Option 5 is nowhere mentioned in the passage as it is talking about a trade war but not a cold war. The only option that catches the entire essence of the passage is 4. Thus option 4 is the correct answer.According to the passage, "China's short-term economic outlook will be "tougher than expected" and trade friction was inevitable with the U.S., Alibaba executive chairman JackMa said as China was reported to be lowering its growth target for this year. "In the coming three to five years… the economic situation will be even more arduous than everyone had expected," said the e-commerce billionaire on Wednesday at an annual meeting of the General Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs," From this it can be inferred that trade relation between the two countries must be dealt carefully to ensure a stable future.
8. E) From the following sentence - ' said Adrian Ludwig, Google’s director of Android security', it is evident that option 5 is the correct answer.
9. C) As per the paragraph, The new malware specifically attacks android users. Combining this with the quoted sentences, we can easily infer that option 3 is the correct answer.
10. A) As per the following sentence from the paragraph -'The new malware campaign, named Gooligan, roots Android devices and steals email addresses and authentication tokens stored on them.' Thus, option 1 is the correct answer.
