Answers:
1)c   2)d   3)b   4)c   5)e   6)e   7)e   8)b   9)e   10)a   11)a   12)b   13)b   14)d   15)c   16)c   17)e   18)a   19)a   20)b
Solutions:
1. C) A’s savings 40% is 4 then 100% is 10
B’s savings is 25% is 3 then 100% is 12
Then ratio of Total incomes = 10 : 12 = 5 : 6
So, 11 = 33000 then 5 = 15000
Therefore A’s income is 15000
2. D) let the age of son be ‘x’ then fathers age = 24 + x
After 2 years sons age is (x + 2) and fathers age is 26 + x
Given that 2(x + 2) = 26 + x => 2x + 4  = 26 + x => x = 22
Therefore, sons present age = 22
3. B)

4. C) Milk : Water = 100 : 20 = 5 : 1
5. E) By allegation rule
 => x = 18%
6. E) Increased run = 10 × 6 = 60
New average = 108 – 60 = 48
7. E)
8. B)
9. E)
10. A) +14, +21, +28, +35, +42, +49
11. A) The series is as follows
121 + 23 × 1 = 144; 144 + 23 × 2 = 190; 190 + 23 × 3 = 259; 259 + 23 × 4 = 351; 351 + 23 × 5 = 466
12. B) The series is as follows
14 × 3 + 1.5 × 1 = 43.5
43.5 × 6 + 1.5 × 2 = 264
264 × 12 + 1.5 × 4 = 3174
3174 × 24 + 1.5 × 8 = 76188
13. B) From I. x = -1, +1 and from II. y = -1, -3 so x ≥ y
14. D) From I. x = 3, 4 and from II. y = 4, 8 so x ≤ y
15. C)
16. C) Ratio = 760 : 540 = 38 : 27
17. E) Average = 1485/6 = 247.5
18. A) Difference = 1435 – 1430 = 5
19. A) Increase Percentage = (375 – 265)/375 x 100 = 29.33 = 29% (approx.)
20. B) Percentage = 650/950 x 100 = 68% (approx.)
